Leaffer Law Group attorney Becky Farr will present Advocacy / Lobbying Basics: Legal Requirements and Best Practices  on March 15, 2022. This event, hosted by the Colorado Energy Foundation, is for the benefit of its grantees who do advocacy work as a part of delivering on their mission.

The presentation will discuss how public charities can and should play a role in shaping public policy and how they can do so in compliance with laws affecting their tax-exempt status. Participating organizations will learn the definition of lobbying, lobbying limitations, exemptions to those limitations and grant considerations.
