1099 Reporting Expansion Repealed

President Obama has signed into law a repeal of the changes to the 1099 reporting requirements that were part of the health care legislation of 2010. The changes, which were to go into effect in 2012, would have expanded 1099 rules to cover payments for goods in excess of $600 to any one vendor, and also removed an exception for payments to certain corporations.
