Colorado’s Nonprofit Community Lends Support to Hurricane Recovery Efforts

Our hearts go out to the Texas, Florida, Caribbean and Mexico communities devastated by recent hurricanes and earthquakes. We are proud of how our nonprofit community has stepped up to assist. If you haven’t heard, The Bohemian Foundation announced it will match up to $3 million in donations made by all Coloradans to a special fund established to support hurricane recovery in the U.S. states and territories during the 2017 hurricane season.

Colorado’s Hurricane Recovery Fund, which is managed by the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado without an administrative fee, will support reputable nonprofits “who best know the needs in their communities,” Community Foundation President Ray Caraway said in a news release announcing the match.
